MEET THE DESIGNER
Bianca Kay
The idea for Bianca Kay’s floral company Beau.Kay came from her sweet nature-loving grandpa. While living on the island of New Caledonia learning French and exploring the nature outbacks of the island she learned that “Beau” (pronounced Bou) means beautiful in French. My grandpa excitedly proclaimed after he found out I was engaged to a boy with the last name “Kay” that I could start a floral company named BeauKay (bouquet) to encompass my love of French and the wildflowers of that island and my sweet husband.
Modern & Garden-style Floristry
Utah County, Salt Lake, Zions- Traveling to the Love
My own love story began in the blooming gardens at BYU-I. With a girl who loved flowers and a boy that thought she asked him to walk through the gardens with her purely just in case her bad back gave out and she needed someone to carry her home (Yes, sweet, but clueless this boy was). I married my best friend Huistean (Scottish Gaelic for Houston) in 2022. Beau.Kay floral would not have been born without his deep Scottish lineage last name. When he’s not playing the bagpipes (kilt and all), Huistean is helping my every dream come true. I would not have been able to focus on my love for floral so soundly if he wasn’t there my every step of the way. We dream of building a greenhouse studio with a cutting garden to source flowers from someday. He constantly pushes me to help more and more brides because he loves just how giddy I get from helping others’ love stories come true.
